Anonymizer Appoints New Chairman
San Diego, Calif. – Oct 5, 2006
Anonymizer® Inc., the leader in online identity protection software and services, announced that its Board of Directors unanimously named Patrick Moneymaker as Chairman of the Board, effective July 24, 2006. Prompted by Anonymizer’s rapid growth, this appointment has enabled the company’s founder and previous chairman, Lance Cottrell, to focus on operational activities as president and chief scientist.
“Pat has served on Anonymizer’s Board of Advisors for four years and on its Board of Directors for the past year and we are delighted that he accepted my nomination to become chairman,” said Lance Cottrell, president and chief scientist at Anonymizer. “We have great confidence in his ability to work in tandem with management to navigate the changing industry landscape and grow the company’s business.”
Moneymaker brings to the Board more than 38 years of experience in building technology systems and services for government and commercial customers. He was recently CEO of Ocean Systems Engineering Corporation (OSEC), a high technology company predominately involved in the research, design, development, and integration of advanced technology systems and services. Moneymaker is a Retired Rear Admiral, US Navy where he served as Director of Space and Information Warfare in the Navy as well as Commander, Naval Space Command.
