Anonymizer IRC Set Up Page

IRC Walkthrough

This walkthrough is made to help set up Fsecure, Secure CRT and MIRC to connect to IRC networks through the secure tunnel. In order for this to work properly you will need to have the secure tunneling service, Fsecure or Secure CRT already configured to work with our servers, and an IRC client.

To set up the port forwarding for IRC in Fsecure

1) Go to File>Profiles and select Edit Profiles

2) On the left hand side select Cyberpass on the right hand side select Local Forwardings

3) Click on the Add button

4) After you have added in the information click on OK

5) Your Local Forwardings should now resemble the picture below

6) Click on the OK button

7) Then disconnect and then reconnect

To set up port forwarding for IRC in Secure CRT

1) First connect to Cyberpass using your pre existing profile.

2) When you are successfully connected and receive this screen

3) Go to Options>Session Options and on the left hand side select port Forwarding

4) Click on the add button

5) Enter in the information as shown

Then Click on OK and then OK again

6) Then disconnect and then reconnect

To use MIRC through the Secure Tunnel

1) Open up MIRC

2) When the program is open type /server localhost 9999

3) After that has connected type in /quote PASS Anonymizer

4) After the password is accepted you will receive more text on the screen

5) Then type in /quote conn servername. For servername is the name of the IRC server you would like to connect to. For example /quote conn irc.dal.net

6) This will connect you to your IRC server through the secure tunnel.
